Rangers' prosecutor told to advance arguments in Baldia factory fire appeals.

KARACHI -- The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday directed the special prosecutor of Rangers to come prepared on the next hearing for arguments on appeals filed in the Baldia factory arson case.

A division bench headed by Justice K. K. Agha remarked that if the Rangers prosecutor came unprepared then the additional prosecutor general (APG) would proceed with the matter on behalf of the state.

In the light of the last order, a lawyer for one of the appellants submitted that he had produced the last of 400 witnesses and broke them down into various classifications and a copy had been provided to the APG.

The bench directed the APG to go through the same and specifically mention which of the witnesses were material and in particular those who connected the appellants or acquitted persons to the crime and provide the copy of same to the lawyers to appellants.

While issuing direct intimation to the Rangers prosecutor, the bench adjourned the hearing till May 2 for arguments.
