Railways seminar held on locomotives safety, braking mechanism.

KARACHI -- The Pakistan Railways organised a seminar on the safety of locomotives held at its Technical Training Centre here on Wednesday.

During the seminar a team of divisional mechanical engineers apprised the gathering of the braking mechanism in locomotives and other safety features at various stages.

The divisional superintendent Arshad Salam Khattak lauded the efforts put in by all divisions and departments of Pakistan Railways especially the workers and labourers, saying that without their efforts the wheels of the trains could not even proceed a single foot.

He also praised the overall spirit of railways workers toiling as a team during the corona pandemic period.

They have demonstrated their capacity and sincerity with their duties, he said and added: 'Railways' workers have set a unique example during the seven-week-long suspension period of train operations and their commitment to working in the field besides following social distancing parameters is unmatched and beyond all praises,' he said.
