Q, N workers clash over hospital project.

GUJRAT -- A violent clash erupted between the supporters of the PML-Q and the PML-N at the Kotla Civil Hospital near Kharian over the controversy surrounding the upgrade of the hospital and renaming it as Zahoor Elahi Shaheed Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Reports said PML-Q leader Chaudhry Musa Elahi, the son of former federal minister Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, arrived at the hospital to inaugurate the project of its upgrade to the level of THQ hospital and renaming it. However, a large number of supporters of PML-N MNA Abid Raza Kotla were already gathered in front of the hospital to stop Musa from holding the event while a contingent of police was also present there.

As soon as Musa cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project, the PML-N workers started pelting the participants of the ceremony with stones after which security guards of Musa resorted to aerial firing to disperse the crowd.
