Punjab govt changes name of patwari post to village officer.

LAHORE -- The Punjab government has decided to change the name of public post 'patwari' while now the post will be named as village officer.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Ahmed Khan Buzdar chaired a revenue department meeting wherein the performance and the matter related to Punjab land authority reviewed.

The huddle decided to change the name of public post patwari to village officer while it is also suggested change name of assistant director to tehsildar and naib tehsildar to land record officer.

The CM Punjab also approved to provide a laptop to all 14-grade officers while service structure will be formed for the promotion of Punjab land record authority staff.
