Punjab child labour survey launched.

RAWALPINDI -- The Punjab government has started a child labour survey across the province in collaboration with Unicef Pakistan.

The survey is expected to complete in April 2020.

The house listing of Punjab Child Labour Survey (PCLS) has been completed and the collected data has been shared with the all districts of the province as field operation of the survey began.

Bureau of statistics Deputy Director Mohammad Tanvir said the aim of conducting the survey is to check how many children between five and 17 years of age are out of schools or whether they face any kind of torture at their work places.

He said 10 survey teams had been constituted for Rawalpindi division, four for Attock, three for Chakwal and two survey teams are working in Jhelum.
