PTI moves SC against ECP's decision delaying Punjab elections.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision to delay the Punjab elections.

The petition was filed by the Speaker Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan, Speaker Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mushtaq Ghani and some other PTI leaders on behalf of the party.

The petition maintains that the ECP's order 'is in violation of the Constitution as well as the judgement of the apex court'. The petition states that it is the matter of public importance with reference to enforcement of fundamental rights of the millions of people of Pakistan, particularly the people of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
