PTI moves SC against Mohsin Naqvi's appointment as caretaker Punjab CM.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday filed a petition against a decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to appoint media mogul Mohsin Naqvi as caretaker Punjab chief minister in the Supreme Court.

The PTI submitted the plea as a political party while Asad Umar filed a petition as a secretary general of the party. The Imran Khan-led party pleaded the top court to declare the notification regarding appointment of Mr Naqvi as unconstitutional.

The PTI also challenged a notification to appointed dissident leader Raja Riaz as leader of the opposition in the National Assembly. It also asked the court to declare the appointment of Babar Hassan Bharwana and Akramullah Khan illegal.
