PTI leader held for opening fire on AC.

BAHAWALPUR -- The Baghdadul Jadid police on Wednesday night arrested PTI leader Chaudhry Farzand Ali Goheer on the allegation of opening fire on the Saddar tehsil assistant commissioner and causing damage to his offi-cial vehicles.

According to FIR No 351/20 lodged at police station Baghdadul Jadid police station by Dilwar Khan Chadhar, the AC Saddar along with revenue officials and police force was busy with tractors in the operation to clear and retrieve the state land reserved for the construction of Danish school at village 28/BC from the illegal grabbers. PTI Divisional President Farzand Ali Goheer appeared on the scene along with fifteen to twenty supporters.

The AC alleged that Farzand Goheer and another activist Shakeel Ahmed along with his men numbering about fifteen to twenty stopped them from removing illegal structures and resorted to firing and threatened to kill him. He and his accomplices also allegedly damaged his official vehicle with clubs and he was rescued...
