PTI & its leadership should answer their illegal foreign funding before ECP instead of pressurizing CEC: Marriyum Aurangzeb.

ISLAMABAD -- Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is determined to provide relief to the masses and end load-shedding in the country.

While addressing a press conference at the Press Information Department (PID) in Islamabad on Tuesday, she said 20 out of 27 dysfunctional power plants have been made operational and availability of fuel will also be ensured by 7th of the next month.

She said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that there will be zero load-shedding from the next month.

Answering a question, Marriyum Aurangzeb said the Prime Minister has also issued strict directions against the hoarders of diesel, causing problems for farmers in harvesting their crops.

To another question, she said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, his cabinet members, and even allies are visiting Saudi Arabia on their own expense instead of burdening the national exchequer. She also made it clear that no journalist is visiting the holy land on the expense of the government. She said Saudi Arabia's visit has great strategic importance and avenues of cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture and industrial zones will be explored.

The Minister said PTI and its leadership should answer their illegal foreign funding before the Election Commission of Pakistan instead of pressurizing the Chief Election Commissioner. She said that Imran Khan has not replied the question of foreign funding in last eights years, adding that over $7 million dollars illegal foreign funding was received, adding that 16 accounts which have been identified were not declared. She said that a large number of the accounts were not identified. She said that when the question is asked you carryout attack on the Election Commission. She said that somewhere 50, somewhere 100 and somewhere 150 PTI were gathered outside the ECP offices on the call of Imran Khan.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said Election Commission is being threatened and being asked to hold elections, adding that the elections will be held on due time.
