PTI Dir workers protest attack on Imran.

LOWER DIR -- Despite heavy rain, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf workers from different parts of the district staged a protest rally at the Timergara Gorgorai Chowk here on Saturday against the attack on the party chief Imran Khan's container in Wazirabad.

Special assistant to chief minister on prisons, MPA Shafiullah Khan, MNA Syed Mahboob Shah, MPA Azam Khan, MPA Malik Liaqat Ali, PTI tehsil president Malik Bostan Khan, tehsil chairman Asim Shuiab and others addressed the gathering.

Terming the assassination attempt on Imran Khan a coward act, they said neither the ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement nor the state institutions could compete the PTI. They said Imran Khan was the most popular leader in the country.

They demanded of the government to expose the perpetrators of the attack.

JI CONGREGATION: Jamaat-i-Islami provincial chief Prof Ibrahim Khan has said his party opposes the transgender persons act as it is a 'bid' to change the natural law.

He stated this while addressing the JI monthly congregation at Ahyaul Uloom Balambat the other day.

Prof Ibrahim condemned the attack on Imran Khan's container and demanded impartial investigation into the incident.
