PTI Comes Under Fire In NA Over 'Wrong' Economic Policies.

ISLAMABAD -- The PTI's dissidents in the National Assembly budget debate yesterday lashed out at the PTI government's tenure for introducing wrong economic policies and pushing the country to a deep economic crisis.

The treasury benches lawmakers of the previous government were more interested to blame the previous governments' policies on different matters related to the economy as they were seemingly uninterested to put the country on a right track, said the PTI's dissidents while taking part in the budget debate. PTI's senior member Ahmed Hussain Dehar, on his turn, strongly criticised the previous government for introducing the 'politics of abuses' in the country. 'It seems to abuse the opponent was the criteria to get the ministries,' he said, mentioning that Imran-led government was behaving like the opposition in its three and half years tenure. 'There were no proper policies for the poor segment of the society except the claims in speeches,' said PTI's MNA amid desk-thumping from the treasury benches. Another PTI dissident Javairya Zafar said the previous government blamed the opposition parties for corruption in tenure. 'Even the bigwigs of PML-N and PPP would no more be corrupt if they join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf,' she commented on the criteria of judging the politicians by PTI. A senior MNA from the government benches Javed Latif, on a point of order, said that the incumbent government should public the PTI's deal with IMF. 'Realities should bed with the masses,' he said. PML-N's senior MNA Tahira Aurangzeb, taking part in the debate, appreciated the government for presenting a balanced budget in tough circumstances. He said the budget envisages a special loan scheme for the youth which will help them stand on their own feet. She said the incumbent government had given unprecedented incentives to the agriculture sector. PML-N's senior member from Multan Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, taking part in the debate, proposed that farmers should be given interest-free loans for switching to solar tube-wells.
