Provincial Security Secretariat to be made fully operational.

PESHAWAR -- A meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Tuesday reviewed functions of the Provincial Security Secretariat (PSS).

Adviser to chief minister on home and tribal affairs Babar Saleem Swati, Commander 11th Corps Lt-Gen Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, Chief Secretary Shehzad Bangash, additional chief secretary Shahab Ali Shah and other relevant officers were also in attendance.

The chief secretary informed the meeting that the existing staff of home department had been repurposed for performing duties at the PSS and said regular meetings were being held with federal agencies/departments for quick information sharing and fast-track operations of the secretariat.
