Protest intensifies in Thull as 142 booked for violating SOPs.

SUKKUR -- Police booked 142 activists of Jaddojehad Action Committee and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl for organising a big protest in Thull town a day before against delay in completion of water supply scheme and massive corruption in its funds, triggering further protests on Saturday.

The Jaddojehad Action Committee and JUI-F workers took out separate rallies in the town to protest the registration of FIR at A-Section police station on behalf of state against their leaders Tariq Qureshi, Roveed Khoso, Aneesur Rehman Soomro, Nadir Hussain Buriro, Mehtab Buriro, Inamul Hassan Buriro, Fakharuzzman Soomro and scores of workers.

The committee members started the rally from their office and reached Thull Press Club where their leaders delivered speeches and said they strongly condemned the registration of `fake` case against citizens for demanding clean drinking water. They demanded immediate withdrawal of the case and warned if it was not done they would hold strong protests against the police action.
