Protest held against Ahsan's arrest.

SUKKUR -- Workers of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) held a demonstration in front of Sukkur Press Club on Tuesday in protest against the arrest of their party's central secretary general Ahsan Iqbal by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Led by Sukkur district PML-N president Khursheed Ahmed Mirani, they were carrying party flags, banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the arrest. Leaders and workers of party's subordinate organisations of taluka Sukkur and Rohri also participated in the protest.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders flayed the government, saying that the arrest of Ahsan Iqbal and others was the result of a joint 'conspiracy' between Imran Niazi and NAB, which they condemned in strong words.
