Promotion of education in tribal districts stressed.

BAJAUR -- Jamaat-i-Islami leader Senator Mushaq Ahmad Khan and other speakers at a function have called for tangible efforts for promotion of education in tribal districts to improve the socioeconomic condition of the residents.

Addressing the talent award distribution ceremony arranged for students the other day at the Jirga Hall in Civil Colony, Khar, the speakers said that like other sectors the condition of education in tribal districts was still very poor despite merger of the region with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Senator Ahmad claimed that unfortunately no visible improvement could be made in any sector since the Fata-KP merger in 2018.

The ceremony organised by a group of local youth led by Rahmatullah Mamund was attended by political activists, students and local government representatives.

A group of female teachers and girl students also attended the function held to honour talented students and officials of different public institutions who were given medals, shields, laptops and certificates for their remarkable performance.
