Prof Dr Parveen Shah chairs 82nd meeting of SALU Syndicate.

KHAIRPUR -- The 82 nd Meeting of the Syndicate of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur was held under the chair of Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. At the outset of the meeting, the learned members of the Syndicate appreciated the efforts of Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah for the promotion of higher education at the campus. Speaking to the participants of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah shed light on the various achievements of the University. She said SALU has nominated 'Achievements Award' for demonstrating significant advancement under Science and Education category and invited me as Vice Chancellor to receive the award in April 2020 in London. We have recently signed MoU with American Institute of Pakistan Studies (AIPS) and soon we will start activities of mutual concern at SALU and AIPS. Dr. Shah elaborated that along with huge infrastructural development worth PKR 655.9 m (construction of Academic and Admin Blocks, Boys hostel with capacity of 200 boys and FM radio station), we have successfully availed research projects worth PKR 30.796 m in various University Departments. (Teacher Education, Zoology, Microbiology and DPRI). We are committed to our motives of excellence in education and clean environment as a part of National Plantation Drive (NPD) under PM's guidelines through Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. We have sown hundreds of trees around the campus to create clean and healthy environment. Dr. Parveen Shah said as part of the bigger plan of full automation of the operations at SALU, online admission procedures are started for batch 2020 intake.

The Vice Chancellor apprised that 50 MoUs have been signed with national and international organizations. After detailed deliberations, the various decisions were made. The Members confirmed the minutes of the 81st Meeting of the Syndicate. The various actions taken by the Vice Chancellor under emergency powers vested her as per University code were approved.
