Probe launched into patient's death.

HARIPUR -- An unidentified man, who was admitted to the Haripur Trauma Centre three days ago, was found dead outside the hospital on Sunday evening, police and hospital sources said on Monday.

When the news of the patient's death went viral on social media, District Headquarters Hospital's medical superintendent Dr Mohsin Raza Turabi formed an inquiry committee tasking it with submitting the findings within three days. He also transferred deputy medical superintendent and two shift in-charges of the trauma centre.

According to admission record, unknown people had brought a man in his 40s to the trauma centre with complaints of body ache, fever and breathing problem.

The patient, a drug addict, remained under treatment till Sunday morning. However, according to hospital sources, the patient, who was unable to tell his name, continued demanding some additional sedatives as he was feeling severe body aches, but the hospital staff declined his requests.
