Private schools' bodies denounce extension in holidays till July 15.

KARACHI -- Private schools' associations in Sindh have aired their grievances regarding the government's decision of extending educational institutions' closure due to the coronavirus pandemic till July 15.

Denouncing the decision, All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association chairman Haider Ali, Sindh Private Schools Management Association chairman Syed Tariq Shah and Private Schools Management Association chairman Sharafuz Zaman, along with several other bodies managing private educational institutions in the province, have asked the government to grant them permission to reopen their schools and colleges after putting in place the standard operating procedures (SOPs) prescribed by the government.

They said they could no longer afford to play with the future of their students' academic careers by keeping on extending school closures, and postponing and cancelling examinations. They suggested that all educational institutions should be opened by June 15.
