President asks Ministry of National Food Security to chalk out plan focusing on enhancing export of mangoes.

ISLAMABAD -- President Dr. Arif Alvi has asked the Ministry of National Food Security and Research (NFSR) to chalk out a plan of action focusing on enhancing export of mangoes.

President Dr Arif Alvi was chairing a meeting regarding export of mangoes through trade diplomacy at Aiwan-i-Sadr on Thursday.

He said that value addition and an aggressive marketing strategy needed to be devised with an object to explore new markets for mango exports.

The President was expressing these views while chairing a meeting to increase the export of mangoes through trade diplomacy and showcasing of Pakistan' superior quality mangoes in the international market. The meeting was attended by Syed Fakhar Imam, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research (NFSR), Secretary Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sohail Mehmood, Secretary Commerce, Mr. Yousaf Naseem Khokhar, Chairman PARC, Dr. Muhammad Azeem, Secretary Aviation, Mr. HasanNasirJamy, and Mr. Waheed Ahmed, Patron in Chief, All Pakistan Fruits and Vegetable Exporters Association.
