President asks governors to ensure complete compliance.

ISLAMABAD -- President Dr. Arif Alvi has directed the provincial governors to ensure an effective foolproof monitoring and compliance mechanism for complaints registered through Pakistan Citizens Portal (PCP) in their respective provinces.

The President issued these directives on inefficient response and compliance on such complaints registered on PCP for speedy justice.

The Sindh governor who called on the President last week had assured the President of immediate action has taken steps in his province to address the matter effectively.

The President also asked the KP governor to take appropriate steps in this respect in his province.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Imran Khan had warned of a stern action against bureaucrats showing their laxity in treating public complaints registered through the Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP).

The prime minister had asked the provincial governors to recommend action against those officers who were showing laxity in resolving the complaints.

The prime minister's warning came after he was informed that some federal government officers posted in various the provinces were still showing their laxity in helping in resolution of public complaints registered on the PCP.

On November 20 last year the prime minister had tasked the provincial governors to review the mechanism for disposal of complaints registered through the Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP) pertaining to federal departments operating in their respective provinces.
