President Alvi calls on Japan to strengthen cooperation in the Artificial Intelligence field.

TOKYO -- Visiting Japan to attend the enthronement ceremony, President Dr. Arif Alvi has called on Japan to strengthen cooperation in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) field.

In an interview with a Japanese TV channel, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that he had felt attached to the culture and history of Japan as his father offered scholarships to the Japanese students

President Dr. Arif Alvi said: 'Whenever I come here or I meet the Japanese people in Pakistan, I feel so much love between ourselves. I feel understanding, courtesy and politeness of the Japanese people. It is a pleasure and honor for me to join the enthronement ceremony. I think something which has long time been a tradition.'

As Pakistan is a 'young country' where more than half of total populations are under 30 years old, so the country is working hard to produce AI experts. The President called for cooperation from Japanese companies in the field.

President Dr. Arif Alvi said: 'We have an institution training our people, in fact, it is an initiative called, which I started personally, 'President's Initiative on Artificial Intelligence Training.'
