KARACHI -- Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Sirajul Haq on Wednesday visited the Jamaia Binoria Aalimia to express condolence on the demise of Mufti Muhammad Naeem with his son Mufti Nauman Naeem.

'The death of Mufti Sahib is a great loss to Muslim world,' said Senator Sirajul Haq while paying tribute to the services of late scholar. The late chancellor of Jamia Binoria, he said, built a great institution whose students were serving the religious cause all over the world. He said Mufti Naeem worked hard for the unity of Ummah during all his lifetime.

Talking about the situation of Karachi, he said the present government like its predecessors also failed to address the chronic problems which the residents of the port city had been facing for decades. The Sindh's capital, he said, contributed almost 75 percent to the country's total tax collection yet a large number of its residents were sleeping on footpaths while thousands were deprived of basic health...
