PR seals 33 tanneries for non-payment of rent.

LAHORE -- A Railways (Lahore Division) team on Tuesday launched a mega operation in Kasur and sealed 33 of the total 102 tanneries for not paying the railways rent for the last nine years.

According to PR divisional superintendent Amir Nisar Chaudhry, the team, led by Assistant Executive Engineer (Raiwind), visited 102 tanneries established at the railways land. Of them, 69 tanneries paid their dues partially worth Rs3.3m but 33 did not pay. The team sealed these 33 tanneries.
