PPP starts preparations for next elections.

PESHAWAR -- As a part of preparations for the next elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Peoples Party has announced names of the members of parliamentary boards for different divisions to recommend candidates for the polls.

Sajid Khan, a member of PPP media team, told this correspondent that party provincial president Najamuddin Khan notified parliamentary board for southern districts of the province.

PPP central deputy secretary information Faisal Karim Kundi, who is also special assistant to prime minister, will be convener of the board. Other members of the board include former governor Barrister Masood Kausar, Anwar Saifullah, Federal Minister Sajid Turi, Amjad Afridi, Nek Daraz Wazir, Engineer Amanul Haq Ghaznikhel, Mohsin Ali Khan and Jabar Khattak.

The board will monitor the affairs of the upcoming elections and inform the central leadership of the party by preparing its recommendations regarding the distribution of tickets.

The party has also notified parliamentary board for Malakand division. PPP provincial senior vice president Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha, who is also special assistant to prime minister, will be convener of the board.

Other members of the board include former senator Ahmed Hassan Khan, former MNA Syed Akhunzada Chatan, Akram Khan, Mohammad Humayun Khan, Malik Azmat Khan, Dr Afsarul Mulk and Dost Mohammad Khan.

The convener of PPP parliamentary board for Peshawar and Mardan divisions is Syed Zahir Ali Shah. Other members include of the board include Arbab Alamgir, Syed Ayub Shah, Karamatullah Chagharmtai, Liaquat Shabab, Farooq Hoti, Asad Rahimdad Khan and Ali Khan.
