PPP shows concern over Covid-19 spread.

ISLAMABAD -- Expressing concern over the worsening situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to spread of Covid-19, senior leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party belonging to the province said on Tuesday that the number of coronavirus patients was increasing due to low testing capacity of the province.

Speaking at a press conference at the party's Media Office here, PPP leader Engineer Humayun Khan alleged that there was no place except Peshawar in KP where coronavirus tests were being conducted and the number of patients was increasing besides an alarming number of deaths.

PPP Senator Rubina Khalid, National Assembly's former deputy speaker Faisal Karim Kundi and party's media coordinator Nazir Dhoki were also present on the occasion.

Mr Khan said that numerous doctors had tested positive for Covid-19 in KP because personal protective equipment had not been provided to them.

He said at a time when the entire world was appreciating Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah's efforts in dealing with the pandemic, the federal government was targeting the Sindh government.
