PPP, PTI lawmakers exchange verbal blows in Sindh Assembly.

KARACHI -- Sindh Assembly's proceeding's took ugly turn on Friday as lawmakers belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf exchanged heated arguments before coming face to face as the remarks of latter's MPA Khurram Sher Zaman regarding dog bite cases didn't please the ruling party.

It all started when Sherzaman prayed for a two-year-old girl who reportedly died after being bitten by dog in Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah's constituency in Jamshoro and said, 'It seems that there is dogs' rule in the province.' The PPP legislators including Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla and Minister for Information, Science and Technology lost their cool on the remarks and moved aggressively towards the PTI benches. Arsalan Taj Ghuman and some other PTI members also responded while in the meantime, PPP's Fayyaz Butt and Burhan Chandio also moved towards PTI benches. 'Hero Ban Raha Hai Tu Mar Khayega (You are becoming a hero, you will be thrashed),' Talpur told to Ghuman who replied,' Kon Hai Tu, Jaa Yahan se (Who are you, go from here). 'Bahar Aaa, Idhar Aaa, (come outside, come here), Burhan Chandio said while apparently asking the PTI member to have a fight with him. 'They (PPP) were thrashed in National Assembly and now recalling it,' a PTI legislator said.

Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani tried to calm down the situation and asked members from both sides to maintain the decorum. 'This is no way to behave in the assembly and especially at the time of Friday prayer,' he added.

Durrani asked the members to go outside, if they were interested in the violence. While expunging all unparliamentarily words, he asked the lawmakers not to use 'Bazaari Language' in the house. Persuading members from both sides and intervened to control the squabbling that lasted for some minutes. When Sherzaman resumed Dua (prayer), he said that too many wine shops licenses were issued by Chawla, who also holds Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control.

The remarks once again triggered chaos in the assembly, as the minister replied 'He (Sherzaman) also serves sub-standard food at his restaurant.' While the spat was controlled, the disorder remained throughout the proceedings as Talpur, who was replying...
