PPP leaders pledge to fulfil Bhutto's mission.

PESHAWAR -- Observing the 95th birth anniversary of former prime minister and founder of Pakistan Peoples Party Zulfikar Ali Bhutto here on Thursday, the leaders of the party paid tributes to him and pledged to fulfil his mission of strengthening democracy in the country.

A gathering was held under the aegis of Peshawar city district organisation of PPP wherein speakers shed light on the life and political vision of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. They also cut a cake at the end of the function to mark the birthday of the PPP founder.

PPP provincial deputy information secretary Syed Tahir Abbas, labour wing leader Shah Zulqarnain. district president Zulfiqar Afghani, general secretary Zulfiqar Awan, Peshawar division secretary information Tariq Raheem and others addressed the event.

Paying tributes to the PPP founder, they said that he was still ruling the hearts of millions of people even after over four decades of his judicial murder. They said that he rendered matchless services for the welfare of poor, particularly labourers and farmers.

They claimed that PPP was the only political party, which had roots in people mainly due to its democratic stance.
