PPP criticises govt.

LAHORE -- The PPP has criticised the government for holding passengers responsible for the train tragedy.

Party's Punjab chapter leaders Qamar Zaman Kaira and Chaudhry Manzoor said in a joint statement that the government acted shamefully by blaming passengers for the tragedy before a formal inquiry into the incident.

They said the horrible tragedy demanded a thorough probe not only to fix responsibility for but also to curb repetition of such incidents in future.
