PPE, uniforms provided to staff at city zoos.

KARACHI -- Mayor Wasim Akhtar said on Wednesday that personal protective equipment had been provided to the staff looking after animals at Karachi Zoo, Safari Park and Landhi Zoo to protect them against Covid-9 and other diseases.

'Artificial waterfalls have been installed in cages of tigers and other animals to beat the heat,' he said, adding that a building of 'international standard' had been built at Safari Park for cafeteria.

Speaking at a meeting with the KMC recreational department's staff, he said staff of the zoos had been provided uniforms and the people would see them in uniforms once the zoos reopened.
