PP-51 by-poll contestants get symbols.

GUJRANWALA -- The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has allotted symbols to the candidates taking part in the PP-51 bye-election.

Four candidates have been allotted their party symbols while seven others are taking part in the bye-election as independent candidates.

PML-N's Begum Talaat Shaukat has been allotted the symbol of lion, PTI candidate Chaudhry Muhammad Yousaf gets bat, Jamaat-i-Islami candidate Nasir Mehmood Klair gets a pair of scales and Tehreek-i- Labaik Pakistan candidate Sufi Nasir Saifi has been allotted crane symbol.

Ejaz Samman, the PPP candidate, had earlier withdrawn his nomination papers in favour of the PML-N candidate on the directions of the party leaders.
