Powers of NAB curtailed to protect PTI leaders: QWP.

CHARSADDA -- Qaumi Watan Party chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Sunday said that the PTI government curtailed the powers of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to save its people.

He was speaking at a press conference at the residence of former law minister Barrister Arshad Abdullah here on Sunday. QWP provincial chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao and other party leaders were also present on the occasion.

Aftab Sherpao said that Prime Minister Imran Khan lost the trust of Muslim Ummah after skipping the Kuala Lumpur summit in Malaysia.

He said that the PTI government rendered the parliament useless by promulgating ordinances. He added that it was the job of the legislature to enact laws.

Mr Sherpao said that the PTI government under Prime Minister Imran Khan defanged the NAB to save his party leaders from accountability. He said that irregularities had been committed in the Bus Rapid Transit, Malam Jabba and Billion Tree Tsunami projects.

The QWP leader said that government was trying to save the former military dictator retired General Pervez Musharraf, who was convicted of high treason by the special court.
