Power tariff likely to scale up by Rs 3.15 per unit.

ISLAMABAD -- The power tariff is likely to be scaled up by Rs 3.15 per unit as Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed application with NEPRA seeking enhancement in electricity tariff.

The power tariff will be increased under monthly fuel adjustment.

CPPA has taken plea in the application that 10 billion units electricity was generated in the month of March. The cost of production of electricity remained Rs 94 billion.
