Poverty alleviation, social welfare top most priority of incumbent government, Aon Abbas.

Islamabad -- Managing Director PakistanBait-ul-Mal Aon Abbas Buppi Thursday said that 'poverty alleviation' and social welfare of the people was top most priority of Imran Khan' government and PBM has launched various poverty alleviation schemes in the country to fulfill the needs of the poor masses and empower them economically.

Talking with reporter on Thursday, Aon Abbas said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would definitely bring more people over poverty line and certain measures have already been taken in this regard under the friendly policies of the government.

"I am very happy that the first operation of our Cochlear Implant Project being conducted successfully, I highly appreciate the support of Ali Muhammad Khan and Ali Nawaz Awan for making this project a success story" he said.

Addressing the overseas and international donors he said that "I would just like to request that poverty is not something only government would take care of, government symbolically lead, Pakistan is a country which is financially very stricken,

"We don't have funds to help every poor out there, If your living abroad, come out to help the deprived community, one single dollar, one single call, one single help with Pakistan Baitulmal or any other poverty alleviation organization can change the life of people, as many orphans, women and patients need help" MD PBM said.

He said prime minister has laid foundation of "Naya Pakistan" on the pattern Riyasat-e-Medina, an Islamic welfare state, adding that the welfare, health and education of the poor specially youth and women were the priority of the government.
