Political situation across the country demands early elections, says Khuhro.

HYDERABAD -- Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh president Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Tuesday repeated his party's demand of early elections in the country, saying that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government had lost people's trust.

Speaking at a press conference at the local circuit house, he remarked: 'the masses have now decided not to give NRO [amnesty] to Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is facing alienation'.

Mr Khuhro pointed out that people had now taken to the streets and the entire country had become D-Chowk.

'No ruler can face the wrath of masses because when they start taking to the streets, even kings flee their palaces'.

He said that the [PTI] government had first announced that the Azadi March would not be allowed to take place but then it could not contain people's power.

It was not the JUI-F march alone as [Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz] leader Maryam Nawaz also participated in it and [PPP chairman] Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was holding public meetings in every district of Sindh as well, he added.

Mr Khuhro said that the entire opposition is awakening people and all roundabouts in the country had become D-Chowk.

He said people did not give mandate to Imran Khan with majority of seats in the parliament but a minority government led by him was installed for which the strategy of [former president General Pervez] Musharraf's regime was adoApAted.

He recalled that in MusAAharraf's regime, one political party was bifurcated.
