Police prepare participants' list.

RAWALPINDI -- Police have prepared a list of the participants of Azadi march, including the vehicles they used and workers of Ansarul Islam and their financers and other particulars.

In this regard, directives were issued to all station house officers along with a pro forma to provide two-hourly details about the opposition parties' convoys passing through their respective areas.

The details sought by the city police officer (CPO) comprised the number of participants of JUI-F, Ansarul Islam, civil society, other political parties, party flags and Kashmir flags, etc.

Say about 28,000 to 30,000 people in more than 1,200 vehicles passed through the limits of Rawalpindi police

The police also sought the names of individuals and their political affiliations who had arranged receptions for the participants or for the leaders of the opposition parties.

Details of political rallies joining the main rally passing through the limits of Rawalpindi district police were also sought. The police were worried over JUI-F's plan to pass the main procession through Murree Road. However, the procession took Islamabad Expressway to reach the venue of the gathering in Islamabad.
