Police officers hold open courts in city areas.

LAHORE -- The capital city police on Saturday held open courts in different areas of the provincial capital to facilitate citizens in filing complainants at their doorstep.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar directed all the divisional superintendents of police (investigation and operations wings) to hold open courts in their respective areas on a regular basis.

The objective of the initiative is to ensure a direct interaction between the people and senior police officers, with a view to develop a sense of confidence among the public and to bridge the gap existing between them.

At these open courts, senior police officers listen to the problems of residents of their respective areas of jurisdiction and issue orders on the spot for redressal of their complaints. In this connection, CCPO Dogar also held an open court at Ghaziabad police station and listened to the complaints of residents of North Cantonment Circle.
