Police hold online kutchery in Industrial Area Zone.

ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad police organised an online kutchery on Tuesday to address public complaints while practicing social distancing.

A press release issued by the police said that in order to reduce risks from holding physical meetings in one location, the police have begun organising e-katcheris, the first one which was held in the Industrial Area Zone.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Waqaruddin Syed and Industrial Area Superintendent of Police (SP) Zubair Ahmed Sheikh listened to complaints from citizens over video link at the SP's office.

Citizens heard included traders, office bearers from the fruit and vegetable market and the vice president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The schedule for these online public meetings has been made available on social media.

Participants of Tuesday's meeting praised the police for raising awareness about Covid-19, maintaining law and order and ensuring that rations are distributed fairly among people with the help of philanthropists. They also praised theDastak programme initiated by Industrial Area police.
