Police clueless about youth's captors.

LAHORE -- The police seem clueless about the captors of a student of a private college who was kidnapped some six days back from Garden Town.

Faizan Shahid (20) was bundled into a car by four armed men from Garden Town area when he was on his way home after closure of his college.

Later, the police had lodged a kidnap case on the complaint of Faizan's father Shahid Riaz Malik against Afzaal Hussain, Mian Imran, Mian Raza and Mian Habib, all residents of Khanqa Dogran.

Despite a lapse of six days or so, the investigation police failed to trace the boy and the culprits despite the fact that their identity has been established.

Faizan's father told Dawn when the four suspects bundled his son into the car, they asked their another accomplice to take away his (Faizan's) motorbike.

He said a security guard of a nearby house and two college fellows of his son witnessed the incident and overpowered one of the suspects. The kidnapper later told the police about the identity of the four captors who had fled the scene, Shahid Malik...
