Police claim killing three bandits.

SUKKUR -- Police claimed killing three bandits and recovering huge quantity of weapons and ammunition after an encounter with the outlaws in riverine area in Khairpur district on Friday.

Officials said that when police were cordoning off an area after receiving a tip-off about the outlaws' presence, the bandits who were hiding behind thick bushes opened fire at the law enforcers to scare them away.

Police returned fire, resulting in an encounter which lasted about an hour and resulted in the death of three dacoits who were identified as Dhani Bux Abro, Ali Abro and Waqar Solangi.
