Police approached against youth for recording prank in hospital.

KASUR -- A video clip apparently recorded in the emergency ward of the DHQ hospital that went viral on social media landed three youths in hot water here on Friday.

The hospital administration that became alert after the clip went viral constituted a three-member committee to probe into the matter. The committee, established by the hospital Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Muhammad Laeeq, would conclude the report within three days. It would also try to establish which staffers were involved in facilitating the youths in making the video.

The hospital administration had also submitted an application with the Saddar police station for registration of a case against the youths, including Muhammad Amin, Omar Sameer and Naveed alias Jani.

The video clip shows a boy lying in a bed in the emergency ward of the DHQ hospital and pretending to be breathing his last. Another boy, who appears in the guise of a doctor, informs a friend about the condition of the 'patient', who then pretends to die.

This is not the first time that the DHQ hospital has come into limelight over the negligence of its administration.

A few months back, in another video that had gone viral, a dog was seen lying in a bed of the intensive care unit. When a provincial minister visited the hospital a few days later to probe into the matter, the dog was found lying there again.

Moreover, a baby went missing from the paediatric ward of the hospital a few months back and so far there was no clue to his whereabouts.
