Poets urged to highlight plight of miners.

SHANGLA -- Speakers at a Pashto poetry book launch here on Sunday night urged poets to highlight the plight of mineworkers in their verses.

The ceremony was arranged by the Bisham Adabi Tolana (literary circle) at the Bisham Jinnah Park.

Noted Pashto poet Rehmat Shah Sahil and poets from parts of Malakand division presented their pieces on the occasion highlighting the growing issues in the society.

The book titled Da Zan Sara Khabri (talking to myself) has been written by a young and emerging Pashto poet, Jan Alam aka Sagar Jan.

Shedding light on the Sagar Jaan's book, poet Fazal Subhan Afghani said it was an excellent addition to the Pashto literature.

Dr Hamdard Yousafzai, a known Pashto poet from Shangla, said it was a joyful moment that the Bisham town had added a new Pashto poetry book to the Pashto literature.
