POA nominated for Peace and Sport Award.
LAHORE -- Pakistan after coming in top six countries has been nominated for Peace and Sport Award 2019 for its outstanding contribution to peace, dialogue and social change in the world through sport, according to an announcement made by the Pakistan Olympic AssoAciation (POA) here on Friday.
The winner will be selected by the online community and announced during the Peace and Sport Awards Ceremony that will take place in Monaco on Dec 12, in the presence of H.S.H Le Prince Albert II de Monaco.
The Award is a prestigious distinction in the world of sports with a history of 11 years. Its vision is 'We believe that sustainable peace can be significantly advanced through the powerful catalyst of sport'.
The POA announcement said: 'We are delighted to inform that the Pakistan Olympic Association has been nominated for Peace and Sport Award 2019 for its outstanding contribution to peace, dialogue and social change in the world through sport.
