PMDC restrained from taking action against colleges.

ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday restrained Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) from taking any adverse action against private medical colleges registered by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).

IHC Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb hearing the petitions of private medical colleges issued this order.

The court, however, authorised the PMDC to inspect these colleges in order to ensure adherence to the required standard.

The court directed PMDC to appoint inspectors bearing good repute for the inspection of private colleges.
