PMC to improve medical education: Zafar Mirza.

ISLAMABAD -- Special Assistant to PM on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza says Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has been established to improve medical education and practice to level of international standards.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said PMC will provide a better mechanism for medical licensing, education and examination system.

The Special Assistant said Pakistan Medical and Dental Council was inefficient to match the pace of medical developments in the world.

Elaborating working of newly established commission, he said PMC will consist of three sections which are Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, National Medical and Dental Academic Board and National Medical Authority. He said PMDC will devise policies whereas NMDB will be responsible...
