ISLAMABAD -- Prime Minister Imran Khan's vote was among the seven rejected votes that played a key role in the victory of opposition Pakistan Democrat Movement's candidate Yousaf Raza Gilani, claimed PPP leader Syed Naveed Qamar on Wednesday.

He also said that PTI MNA and State Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul also mistakenly got her vote rejected. While talking to reporters amid polling for the 2021 Senate election on two seats of Islamabad, PPP MNA and former federal minister Qamar said that both PM Imran Khan and Ms Gul marked ticks on the ballot paper in front of the name of their party candidate Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh instead of giving preference number, thus got their vote wasted.
