PM's aide scotches speculations about discord in Balochistan govt.

QUETTA -- Prime Minister Imran Khan's Special Assistant on Power, Petroleum and Water, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, on Sunday denied reports that lawmakers from Balochistan had held a meeting with the PM recently to express their reservations about the provincial government.

Members of a delegation comprising the lawmakers had recently met the prime minister ostensibly to discuss issues of their constituencies. 'Problems relating to party affairs, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf workers and Balochistan were also discussed,' he said while talking to reporters.

'But nothing was discussed about Balochistan government or Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani,' he added.

'All such news making rounds in social media and newspapers are baseless and nothing more than rumours,' he said.
