PM rejects proposal for petrol price hike.

Islamabad -- Prime Minister Imran Khan has turned down a proposal by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority for an increase in fuel prices, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill said on Sunday.

The OGRA had proposed an increase of Rs 6.22 in petrol price, Rs 6.82 in high speed diesel, Rs 6.37 in kerosene and Rs 5.78 in the price of light diesel.

The prime minister rejected the regulator's summary keeping in view the public relief.
