PM Imran meets COAS to discuss national and regional issues.

ISLAMABAD -- Prime Minister Imran Khan met with Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday to discuss the ongoing security situation in the region.

The COAS and PM Imran also exchanged views on the prevalent situation at the Line of Control (LoC) and the Middle East crisis.

After Iran and US ties got further strained following the death of Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani, PM Imran had directed General Bajwa "to contact relevant military leaders to convey a clear message: Pakistan is ready to play it's role for peace but it can never again be part of any war."
