PM Imran Khan will be held responsible if anything happens to Nawaz: Ahsan Iqbal.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Secretary General and former federal minister Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will be held responsible if anything happens to incarcerated former prime minister and PML-N supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing a press conference along with PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb at the National Press Club Islamabad on Tuesday, Ahsan Iqbal said that Nawaz Sharif's platelets were less than 20,000 and it could have led to internal bleeding but by the prayers of the people, it did not happen.

Ahsan Iqbal said that politicising health issues of political opponents has been a trademark move of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, adding that the personal physician of the former prime minister informed officials about his health issues. His treatment should have been started immediately, but the administration continued to ignore the matter and threw the report into a dustbin,' he said.

Ahsan Iqbal said that the administration shifted Nawaz Sharif to hospital when workers reached the NAB office and staged a protest.

The PML-N leader said that the government had not only expressed indifferent, but the comments of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan are a shameful act.

'The PTI had made fun of the disease of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif. It launched a propaganda campaign on the social media when a murder attempt was made on me. The PTI is in habit of doing politics on the disease of its opponents,' he said.

The PML-N leader went on to say that the officials threw the medical reports of the party supremo into the bin, adding that PM Imran Khan would be responsible if anything...
