PM Imran Khan once again calls upon US President and UN to intervene for resolution of outstanding Kashmir dispute.

DAVOS -- Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again called upon US President Donald Trump and the United Nations to intervene for resolution of outstanding Kashmir dispute.

In an interview with 'CNBC', PM Imran Khan said Kashmir is a far more serious problem than the people and the world realizes. He said India has been taken over by an extremist ideology which is called Hindutva or the RSS. He said Modi is a life member of this extremist outfit.

Referring to the situation in occupied Kashmir, he said eight million people have been put under siege there since 5th August last year. The Indian forces have picked up thousand of Kashmiri teeangers and arrested all their political leaders. He said it is a serious situation and warned that this could potentially spill over in to a conflict between the two nuclear armed countries.

The Prime Minister said the people of Kashmir through a referendum could decide whichever country they wanted to join. He said the disputed territory has been annexed by India and they are trying to change its demography. This, he said, is a war crime as per the fourth Geneva Convention. When asked US- Iran tension, the Prime Minister said war is not a solution to any problem.
